Voice Description

With a long history of voice over work including many national campaigns, I'm able to get the read that sounds the best and in many circles I'm considered to be one of the best free-lance voices to ever say words into a mic.
I create strong imagry in any project and whether the copy is for a commercial or an industrial presentation, I voice the copy accordingly to get the desired result.
I have many of the biggest names in corporate America on my "have done" list as well as voice breaker ID's and drop-in packages for many of the biggest radio stations in the country.

I also write, produce and sing jingles for businesses and products sold at local and national levels.

I won't say I do it all. I'll simply say almost all!

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I have limited character voices to ony those I can do very well. These voices cause the listener to believe what they are hearing. I have a German character, a southern character with variations that can go from the tones of a southern gentleman all the way to hillbilly.
I also have a character I call Mr. World. This character is a cross between Greek, French and Croation. I think many actors use one just like this and a listener just can't dial in on what country the accent is really from.
I'm also pretty strong on my Brittish and Aussie accents.

The unfortunate thing is that I don't have any real samples of these to share. There are also other voices I can do that might be right for a given project but, I have no samples.

The best course of action here is to simply contact me and ask if I can do a particular voice or audition me to see if I can give you what you want.

My Voice Experience

I can safely say that my experience is long and broad. Like most announcers who are young and not very talented, I started doing free-lance voice work in 1972. Even though I don't think I was very good then, I did seem to get more work than most other announcers I knew. I just kept working to get better and like most that stay with it, the seasoning process began and by this time I had secured my spot as one of the better voices available. What follows is list of the major national companies I have done work for at one time or another.

and other various projects. This body of work spans a period of 36 years. Yes, I do have experience!

My Training

I began as a young musician with much success and even though my music was going well for me, I always had a desire to be involved in Radio & Television. It was yet another career I could tap into when and if the music business slowed down. I eventually found a way to make both careers work for me at the same time and that's how it's been ever since.

I did go to a private broadcasting school in 1970 and I also took several non-credit college courses on everything from public speaking to business marketing.
I had a desire to get more involved with various training in communications and journalism but, all of the pro's who I had helping me said they didn't feel I needed more training and instead advised me to gain all the experience I could possibly get.

For a period of time I was an AFTRA and SAG member but I no longer pay dues to belong to either organization.

My Studio Equipment

My current day music partner is the man with the full blown recording studio and because of our relationship, I can get in ahead of and around others to get anything I need recorded and fully produced. I can provide custom music beds and create commercials or jingles from start to finish including the copywriting and all creative services that might be required.

I'm not an equipment junkie so I will just tell you that this studio is utilizing current state of the art technology and equipment. From all the digital recording we do, we have never had an issue of quality.

The best thing about my service here is that I can do jobs quicker than most on very short notice when needed.
I have found this to be a strong asset and being able to go with the flow is something that many can't offer.

Additional Skills

As a nationally known performer I have developed a strong ability to work with audiences. This ability has trickled down into how I work with clients and I'm so glad for all it has taught me.

I'm very old school in some of my thinking and it serves me well because I respect and practice professionalism and service to any client I ever deal with. I try to make them feel special so they khow their project is very important to me and that they are not just another in a long string of clients who want something done.
I'm also old school in another way. My word is truly my bond and I always do exactly what I tell someone I will do. Usually, I go the extra mile and do more than I would actually have to do. The downside here is that I expect the same from other people I do business with and I never let someone wiggle out of things they told me they would do. I never let up on them because I'm going to get what they are supposed to provide me with.
Fair Treatment and Honesty have to go both ways and I'm a firm believer that you really do reap what you sew.

I have an outgoing personality and I can interface with most people very well. Most people like to hear some of my stories from the world of show biz and they will often ask me for autographs as a result of my past.

I can guarantee anyone that I have the personal and the professional skills to be an asset to any project I work on. I give my best one hundred percent of the time.
