I was a major market radio broadcaster for 26 years. In addition to on-air work I did plenty of commercial production as well as live personal endorsements. I can do several dialects and characters including celebrities and political persons. I am currently production director for a 7 station cluster here in New Orleans and often hire out to clients like Harrah's, Toyota, and many others. I have done voice over work for the I Can Learn System that is being used extensively in California (replacing actual books) and many other states. As a field sound recordist, I was nominated for an Emmy for my work on Spike Lee's "When the Levee's Broke." I use my voice everyday for anything from agency spots to local advertising clients. I offer compelling, natural and real reads that usually require a call to action.

My Voice Experience

Broadcast radio has been my bread and butter for many years but I have since moved on to be the production director for a 7 station cluster. Through the years personal endorsements and voice over work has kept me fed. I have also voiced several chapters of the nationally distributed Educational software called I Can Learn that is in most public schools and is replacing many of the old standard texts. These "educational" reads require compassion, understanding and the ability to teach the material on a one-on-one basis. It's a great gig! I have a BA with over 66 hours in speech. Broadcasting for radio and TV over the past quarter century has tought me to be flexible when it comes to delivery. Additional Skills

I have recently had the opportunity to work on several documentaries about the Katrina disater. As a resident and someone who was effected by this storm I had invaluable insight to offer the producers. I not only recorded or mixed the audio interviews but became the local tour guide, historian, restaurant guide and sometimes chauffeur. Because I understand how voice-over talent complete these documentaries, I was in a position to help with production, too. I was nominated for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Sound Mixing For Nonfiction Programming for my work on Spike Lee's epic documentary; "When the Levees Broke."
