In 1996 I was hired as an intern for 740 KRMG News Radio where I learned the ins and outs of the news room. I produced a 5 part series for DVIS that aired on the station.
From December 1997 to October 1998 I was hired as an annoucer for Smooth Jazz 92.1.The Oasis where introduced Local and National Jazz music.
From October 2001 to December 2003 I was hired as an announcer for Fresh Jamz 105.3 HipHop & R & B music.
I've performed various radio and television commercials for local stations. In 2001 I had the privilege of being the sole voice for MPSI's interactive cd.
From June 1999 to May 2006 I worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma assisting customers with their benefit information and other issuses via telephone.
My Training
Through the years I have learned to work at perfecting the of sound my voice by listening to other professionals and direction from engineers and producers as well.
Reading aloud and watching news anchors on television, listening to the voiceover on commecials and documentaries are great sources in my progress. Also a publication called The Theocratic Ministry School Guidebook provides excellent information on voice quality, clarity, pitch, pace, resonance and the like, an invaluable tool for perfecting speech and language skills.
In the past I have subscribed to EDGE magazine to assist with some details of the business. In 2004 I took Speech Communcations and English Composition II beginning on a Mass Communications Degree.
