My Voice Experience

November 2007: trickmusic.com. I provided a voice over that was subsequently embedded into the introductory soundscape of an electronic music album (I.F. - Scorb) as a subliminal message. The sample has been added to my voice123 demo list (Subliminal Message) and for the record my vo says: "Don't look for hidden messages"

December 2007: WildAcre Productions, Co. Cork, Ireland. I recorded a three minute voice over, in my home studio, for a health education DVD. An extract from this has been added to my voice123 demo's list - 'Educational DVD - Excerpt'.

March 2008: I produced a series of radio show jingles for a broadcaster/dj on London based pirate-radio.org. One of the jingles has been uploaded to my demo list - 'Radio Show Jingle'.

Microphone: ADK Condenser Microphone, Vienna Edition.
Sound Card/Preamp: Edirol UA-25.
Monitors: Alesis M1 Active Mrk 2.
(All of the above is connected with balanced connections).
Computer and Operating System: Dedicated Windows PC, Intel Pentium 4, running XP - optimised for music and voice production.
Software: Soundforge 5, Wavelab 5, and Logic Audio 5.5. Various processing and effects plug-in's (compression, noise gating, EQ, FX etc).
Reflective and pop shields.
Extensive sound effect/background music library.
Soft synths to produce own backing music.

I am a qualified geography/history school teacher with over 15 years of class-room experience.
As i have my own home studio (details above), I can provide a client a fully inclusive package; negating the need to organise and synchronise scripting, translation, recording, and post-production over several parties/organisations. I can also guarantee a quick turnaround time.
I also have extensive performance experience as a DJ, both live and on the radio (I was involved in the planning and presentation of a radio show on a local station). I have run and edited my own music magazine (Peek), sub- edited another magazine (Upfront), and I have regularly contributed features, articles and news items to a number of other music magazines.
I am also a classically trained musician.
