My Home Base
Chicago, Illinois, United States
Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
British (London upper class, Cockney, Liverpool), French (I'm told I sound like I'm from the Provance region), German, Irish, Mexican, Brooklyn and several U.S. southern accents form Virginia (where I can pass as a native) to Georgia, Arkansas, and East Texas.
My Voice Experience
I have been the voice of Gillespie Auto Group, Signature Auto Group and Freedom Automotive in Chicago. You may hear my voice on the "Better Credit Resource Guide" commercial running nationally on cable, or in the Chicago area you may hear me as the voiceover on the Credit Stinks commercial, currently running on local broadcast stations. I have done web-mercials, testamonials, and once a month I do a live tele-seminar for Global Patient Record. I am one of the standard in house voices for a message on hold service based in Chicago. I have done podcasting voiceover, and I have performed live as a voice actor
My Training
Thirty five years in the theater have trained my voice and given me a range and control second to none. I began doing voice work while in my teens and continue to do it today. Having grown up in northwest Indiana and northeast Illinois I am blessed with the classic Midwestern non-accent, that has served me well in my quest to learn and replicate as many accents as I can.
My Studio Equipment
I use a Blue Yeti for auditioning and occaisionally for finished audio. When the situation requires it I use an AKG C2000 B Microphone and M Box, and Monster cables, with Pro Tools software. I can deliver raw (uneditted) files in virtually any format required.
Additional Skills
I have worked in several different industries, I have been a mechanical designer, a technical writer, a quality assurance inspector, an expert witness for several major law firms training young associate lawyers and as a simulated patient training medical students, in other words I have more than a passing familiarity with technical jargon in a multitude of industries. In my spare time I am a voracious reader, pilot, motorcyclist and photographer. I have the ability to record audition and lower end finished quality files from my home studio, almost always within twenty four hours. I can also be reached through Skype for an audition, look for voiceactor1.
