I've been doing voice over work all my life, and am now making my talents available to a larger audience.
My commercial reel will give you a sense of the different types of work I am suited for.
I'm not your typical voiceover artist - I have a bachelors in Microbiology from the University of Notre Dame, and work in the high-technology industry in product management. I've made a career out of speaking to large crowds, briefing the press, recording webinars and generally enticing people to "take action". This is where I've honed my VO craft as a steady, engaging and approachable speaker who knows how to engage listeners and keep their attention.
I use a Shure SM7B as my primary microphone, with an Edirol FA 101 Firewire interface to the Mac. I do post-production in Audacity, and capture telephone conversations via Skype and Audio Hijack Pro.
Many industrial projects require someone who actually knows something about the technologies involved. It helps when it comes to making sure the copy makes sense, and when you're reading things like acronyms and company names. It also helps to use talent who has been on the marketing side of different high-technology industries. I've found that this background has helped me bring more value to my clients, who count on me to not just read but test "does it make sense". This is not to say that I'm going to object to your content. . . just that I can be a critical reader if you want me to be.
Another asset I bring to each project is an ability to understand how a promotion fits into a larger promotional plan; I have this capacity to look at projects critically because I've been on the side of the client. Again, my goal isn't to second-guess your strategy, but I have the ability to give you thoughtful feedback if you want it.
