My Voice Experience

15 years in radio, 7 in major market; always in spotproduction as well as on air. After being a staff production director for a major station in San Frncisco, Bobbie worked her way up to acquiring the business as owner/operator of a small, San Francisco-based, radio production studio, being responsible for all stages of the radio ad; working with the client on concept and the need, writing / production / direction and delivery for 4 years with over a dozen repeat clients. a few being Aero Delivery, The Advertiser newspaper, The Christmas Store at Fisherman's Wharf, The Dunfey Hotel, Rucker Fuller Furniture, North Beach Restaurant and many more restaurants.

My Training

Before the years of writing and performing her own daily comedy bits on live radio shows and doing commercial VOs for the station's ads and news broadcasts, Bobbie worked for one of the very first on hold message companies,"Information On Hold" out of Santa Clara, CA (1984-5) as copywriter, producer and voice for recorded messages mixed with music for Apple Computer, DEC, Ampex, area car dealerships and other local companies.

Co-wrote and voiced training film for the state of California ("Accessing The Code") on file at the State office in Sacramento and a few other industrials.

Read books on tape for the SF Bay Area inter-library system (2 yrs.) and did live morning news for Lighthouse for the Blind in San Francisco (6 mos.)

Co-wrote the script, recorded, produced, and directed 19 VO talents for a 2 hour radio theater project that aired for the broadcast for the blind station in SF.

My Studio Equipment

The home studio sports the basic professional recording and production equipment such as Sennheiser MD421II Dynamic Cardioid mics, networked work station computers, and a Behringer XENYX 1204FX Mixer. The software of choice is Sound Forge. RB also provides a world of canned music and sound effects with custom music available ("outsourced to our professional digital musician"). Any file format can be duplicated and/or delivered via a private, secure virtual network.

Bobbie has an empathetic ear and takes direction well.
Conceptualized, wrote, hired talent, directed, and produced radio spots for an independent radio production company in the San Francisco metro market for -5 years.

Her volunteer, work most notably, includes a multi-talent radio theater production where she co-wrote the script, put out the cattle call, auditioned and hired 19 voice actors, produced, directed, recorded and mixed a 2 hr. adaptation of the kid book "The Phantom Tollbooth" for the Recording for the Blind radio network in SF. in the spirit of living a life worthy of an exciting memoir.
