Voice Description

A deep baritone voice that often prompts the question of whether or not I'm a smoker so it clearly can at times have a gravelly edge to it. Raised by southern "country-folk" I grew up with that accent. Many years of theatrical work and constant comments on my voice prompted me to retrain my speech away from the accent. Even as a 8-9 year old child people frequently thought I had a cold because the voice was growing deeper even then. Although this is most likely a cliché in this forum, I have the type of voice that very often prompts others to ask if I'm not a radio announcer. I could have gone to Theasuarus.com and given you dozens of different adjectives. I think the above more aptly describes what I have to offer.
