Voice Description
I have been described as "Walter-Cronkite-esqe" in former news-anchor and other on-air positions. Lot of (mostly) serious-sounding doctor and lawyer spots. Also, more informal, friendly stuff, but still with a strong, voice-of-authority sound. General sound; deep and expressive - good for narrations, training and development projects, etc. Very smooth and flowing - 20+ years in broadcasting.

My Voice Experience
20+ years in radio, TV and voiceover / commercial work. Many years as an on-air news anchor and morning show co-host (so both serious and funny as needed). Always asked to do the "Call ME when you're injured in a car accident" lawyer spots, as well as the "Do you have these symptoms..." doctor / medical spots. Chosen to be the voice of Ernest Hemingway for a Ken Burns-style documentary produced by local PBS TV station for national distribution. Numerous candidate / issue-drive political spots needing either a serious or semi-formal "voice of authority." Volunteer v/o for numerous projects at local PBS TV station and others.
My Training
BS Journalism, Ohio University, 1980. Booth announcer for college PBS TV station, and work at several campus radio stations. Years of experience in radio as news anchor, business news show host, etc. Taught announcing and copy writing (and some production) for local radio / TV vocational school in Phoenix, AZ. Constant work in radio over the years!
My Studio Equipment
Personally own / operate home studio with Audio Technica mics, mini mixer board and Adobe Audition / Soundbooth software for mixing / output. Own a small music library including some SFX. Very knowledgeable with editing software.
Additional Skills
Good eye / ear for copy, writing for the ears, etc. Good ear for idea / concept "flow" through v/o for training and other long-form stuff (having done lots of my own training videos for computers, etc.)
