Voice Description
My singing range has been gauged at 3 octaves, so I can do soft and light as well as deep and resonant.
I'm good with dialects, and have appeared in plays that required them, specifically Russian and Irish. I'm also strong with eastern European and Australian (I once fooled some frequent vacationers to Australia into thinking I was from there).
My degree is in theatre performance, so I'm well versed in line interpretation.
I can do character voices, and am a reasonably good mimic. I can do some celebrity impersonations, including the conventional (Bogart, Cary Grant, Ed Sullivan, Peter Lorre) and the unconventional (Alan Arkin, George Takei), as well as popular cartoon characters like Porky Pig, Snagglepuss and Droopy the Dog; and singers like Anthony Newley, Gordon Lightfoot and Nat King Cole. I also once reduced a friend to tears with my imitation of Brando singing in "Guys and Dolls"

My Voice Experience
In my performance background, I've often been called upon to do offstage or recorded voices, such as Ed Sullivan in "Bye Bye Birdie," Patrick Dennis' late father in "Auntie Mame," and the soon-to-be-late garage owner in "Guys and Dolls."
I've worked as a radio announcer at stations with Classical, MOR and Easy Listening formats, each of which involved reading the news; and as an oldies nightclub DJ.
My voice is currently "on display" at the museum of the Burbank Historical Society in Burbank, California, as part of the Warner Bros. display wherein I recite a two-minute thumbnail history of the studio.
Until recently, I had a weekly spot on radio station KSAV during a segment of the program "Talking Television" in which I give a rundown of the week's TV-oriented DVD releases. These programs are archived at the KSAV website.
I also recently engaged in a podcast venture with author Ed Robertson, called "Bill & Ed's DVD Adventures," which is may be accessed at the Podomatic web site.
My Training
In college I earned a BFA in Theatre Performance. Along the way I took courses in Stage Dialects and Broadcast Announcing, I gained practical experience by appearing onstage in plays and working at the college radio station. At one point, I was announcing on three different radio station concurrently.

Additional Skills
I'm also a good writer, and in the mid-90s created and published a quarterly magazine called "Television Chronicles," which was published for three years and more recently in an online incarnation (a critical success, though not a financial one). As part of that endeavor, I polished my writing skills, as I wrote many of the articles for the publication and was also responsible for creating our advertising. I especially enjoyed creating humorous captions for many of the photos we published.
With my background in writing and editing, I can, if the situation requires, edit or rewrite your copy for style, content or time.
Additionally, I developed skills as an interviewer, and was told by Ron Ely ("Tarzan") that I was one of the two best interviewers he'd ever sat with. Robert Culp ("I Spy") and Lloyd Bridges ("Sea Hunt" were similarly complimentary.
