Voice Description
Using my voice over talent for smooth confident and authoritative commercials is what I enjoy most. Placing a Hal Riney approach to commercials has also worked well for me. My character voice over work ranges from the high pitched nerd to the gruff evil avenger, as well as animal characters, accents, and an impression of Walter Brennan. Commercial voice over talent provides a warm, soothing, honest actor. Promo voice over talent exudes a down to business mature voice.

My Voice Experience
Recently, I was cast for 4 different roles in the play, "Anybody Out There?" due to my voice over talent. One on-stage role was that of a gruff mobster and the other on-stage role was of a European violin player. One of the off-stage voices was a Bronx bullie while the other was a mid-western accent.
Even before I took voice over lessons, I had the opportunity to announce, over a PA system, the event winners in a swim meet. Local neighbors were amazed to see me sitting at the announcer's table because from what they heard, they thought the swim team had finally hired a professional announcer. One person said I sounded like the San Francisco Giants' announcer Daune Kuiper.
My Training
As an actor in community theatres, I noticed one thing in common among the better actors. They have voice-over training. So I, too, pursued such training. My voice-over coach has been Susan McCollom of Voice Media. I have taken various classes from her over the past two years. I am also a trained actor and musician (percussionist).
