My Voice Experience

I provided voiceover for two commercials for a local area Attorney, Calvin Smith in 2007, 2008 and 2009. In 2008, I recorded voice over for a Chamber of Commerce ad for a State in Mexico.

My Training

I have a degree in Biology from the University of Alabama. I worked for IBM for 36 years in various technical and engineering positions and retired in 2001.

During several years within IBM, I managed a department of information developers who were responsible for producing documentation for IBM end users to assist them in running IBM software products. This gave me an appreciation for taking techical topics and describing them in everyday language for novice computer users. I believe this also has some application in the voice over industry. Point being I can suggest improvements to the existing script I'm handed if suggestions are asked for.

I am currently the President of a local non profit Soccer League and Coach my Daughter's team. Although, I have limited experience in voice over, I've always been told I have a great voice and should do something with it. One of my Coaches in the Soccer Club has a business which produces commercials and he approached me and gave me the opportunity to enter into the business. One of my jobs in the Soccer League is to update the League weather line each day with field open/closed and other relative information. Many members comment that they like my voice.

I'm a "late bloomer" in the voice over area, but I believe I have a great deal of potential and can offer a talent seeker someone who is willing to work hard to produce the best product at a reasonable price.

My Studio Equipment

I have access to a studio but am not sure about the equipment he currently has.

I have the ability to create mp3 and wav formatted voice products from my pc and send them via email.
