My Voice Experience
Worked as head of radio in a radio station in Kenya East Africa for transmission via satellite, over the web and regular tower transmission to a broadcast area reaching roughly 8 million.
I was the signature voice for the station and also for some TV programs within the media company. I
My productions included promotions, station identifications, narrations, commercials in house and client. Some of my best work was done impromptu with little or no scripting.
While being there I learned Kiswahili and worked with the East Indian culture giving my voice a unique international accent.
My Training
I completed the course with the National Institute of Broadcasting in Toronto in the early 1990's and have used my voice for narrations in small video projects and moved up to the radio and TV station in the late 1990's.
Also received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the United States International University and their campus in Nairobi Kenya.
Been involved in music all my life including a stint with the prestigious Peterborough Singers from Peterborough Ontario.
My Studio Equipment
no equipment at this time as I sold my small production studio in Kenya in 2008. Worked with ADOBE audition and Audacity working from a carpeted studio at home.
Additional Skills
Having worked overseas for 15 years I have gained an immeasurable amount of knowledge on working with different cultures and beliefs. I have worked in slums and with Bank executives. I have given presentations to boards of directors and to children. I have sung in front of hundreds and spoken to thousands at a time. When on radio I spoke to millions yet focused to that one single person.
My skills are ready to be molded to suit the needs of that client which finds my voice and skills an asset for their company.
