Mature, matter-of-fact, and a little bit wacky.

Voice Description
For audiobook presentations, acting experience can create unique characterizations, with crisp and accurate description in narrative sections.
For commercials, my voice can be excited, sexy, or authoritative.
For IVR and on-hold recordings, you will find me helpful, friendly and conversational.
For training, documentaries and podcasts, look to my voice to give just the right blend of teaching quality and accessibility.
For TV and movies, emotional qualities can be dialed to just the degree desired.
Promos, kid's books, and video games call on an exuberance of effort. I think I still have that.

My Voice Experience
My most unique job was as the voice of satisfaction for Tropicana. All I said was "Ah-h-h-h." The job took ten minutes.
In my early career, I learned that the client is always right, and I developed the ability to 'give them what they want,' a quality I have to this day. I was an early female voice talent, with an agent and relationships in all the NY ad agencies. I was the voice on many national commercials, in addition to doing stage work on Broadway and elsewhere.
Life has a way of taking you on journeys, and also of bringing you back to where you started. In this new world of voice work, I intend to build on my skills and, using a new home studio, create a new body of work in voiceover.
My Training
I have two Bachelor's degrees, in Psychology and Vocal Performance.
I am a member of the Wild Ride Marketing Team
Participation in a number of SAG and AFTRA workshops, such as "Finding the Voices in Your Head," and commercial workshops with Paul Napier and others.
I am a regular on the Wednesday Workout Sessions with Larry Hudson.
I began my career with an understudy part on Broadway in 'Shenandoah' and appeared on Broadway in "Equus" and "Dracula.'
I performed for many years with the Tulsa Opera Chorus and in community theatre roles at Tulsa Little Theatre. I was part of choruses at Tulsa University and the University of Arizona.
I have worked for a decade in the healing arts -- reiki, cranio-sacral, reflexology and shiatsu. I teach Yoga for the Rest of Us, which you'll understand if you've attended many yoga classes.
My Studio Equipment
Home studio consists of a Samson CO3U microphone and Audacity recording program.
At Porter Sound, I have access to:
Pro Tools 10 HD
Pro Tools HD2 Accel Recording System
Microphones: AT4055, Sennheiser K6/ME67, Shure SM81, Alesis AM11
Toshiba/Sony Video Monitors
JK Audio Inline Phone Patch
ISDN
Additional Skills
I currently work as a yoga teacher and an energy therapist. In these careers, I have honed my ability to tune into a person to a high degree; thus, my ability to understand and fulfill a vo client's needs is increased.
Although I am involved in areas that might be considered esoteric, I am down-to-earth and capable of a wide range of vocal sounds, emotions and points-of view.
