Voice Description
I have a tendency to morph with my surroundings. If you need some Southern flare or an indistinct accent, my voice can exude anything from the college professor to the high-school cheerleader; from the female next door to the well-read professional newscaster on television. I enjoy playing around with my vocal qualities and characteristics and have a wide range of abilities. I can also mimic a British accent, and if you need a good cat imitation, look no further!

My Voice Experience
My friends, family members, co-workers, and even students have often wondered when a much-anticipated "Beth Show" would come to fruition. Although a silly notion, I must admit that I have been consistently described as "animated" and "entertaining," and I have had many opportunities over the last 15 years to use these skills in 20+ musicals, 8 plays, 10 concerts, 30+ professional presentations, 5 competitions and innumerable educational sessions. While my recordings thus far have been only personal and work-related, my next goal is to further these communication skills in the voice-over industry.
My Training
* Master of Arts: Communication Management (University of Alabama at Birmingham, present)
* Master of Education: Language Arts (University of Montevallo, 2002)
* Bachelor of Arts: English, Speech (University of Montevallo, 1997)
* 5 years of successful high-school and university-level teaching experience
* 6 years as a free-lance writer/editor for various local and national websites, newspapers and magazines
* 3 years of public-realtions/marketing experience

Additional Skills
My varied career choices have always led to the communication industry, although the topics have ranged from heavy equipment to bow-hunting, and from wedding destinations to critical theory, just to name a few. I am well-versed in the necessary skills for effective voice overs and am anxious to use these skills in such a creative and rewarding field.
