Voice Description

Warm, rich, pleasant, soothing, personable... these are all words that describe my speaking and singing voice. I am a classically trained professional singer with experience in voice over work.

Because of my classical training, I have a lot of experience with languages, and include German, Italian and French among the languages that I am comfortable speaking and recording. I also have a keen ability to imbue text with a fullness of meaning - it's not just words on a page.

My Voice Experience

I have recorded narrations for documentaries, commercials and instructional videos, as well as jingles and vocal tracks for various products. I have also been known to appear live on radio shows, using my vocal talents for various call in contests and entertainment spots.

My voice has been used in projects by such diverse clients as Idaho Fish and Wildlife Service, Providence Medical Group and Nike.

I have enjoyed documentary narration work, and I would love to record automated phone greetings and messages and work on more commercials, especially with jingles.

My Training

I have a degree in vocal performance, and 10 years of professional singing experience (mainly opera, oratorio and musical theater), and have studied with some of the preeminent teachers in that field in various post-degree training programs.

Most of my voiceover work falls in the category of "on-the-job training". I fell into voice over work while employed at a large coffee chain many moons ago... I was calling drinks out for customers to pick up, when a woman approached me and asked me what I did for a living. I answered, "Singing." She handed me her card - she was a voice talent agent. The rest is history!
