My Voice Experience
I have enjoyed talking since I popped out. O.K. maybe I couldn't form words as an infant, but I tried! I used to pretend I was on the radio as a child, and I actually work in radio now. I was on the air for Lazer 105.9 in Lawrence Kansas for a year. There, I would have a weekly air show, and I would also voice commercials when they needed a good female voice (since it was a male-dominated station). I have been told more times then I can count that I have a "voice for radio".
My Training
I was in theater in high school, and I think that is what really kicked off my career in voice work. I have a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Kansas. I recorded various radio scripts for news broadcasts. But, it wasn't only the professional sound I did. I enjoyed doing fun voice related projects for extra credit in my Western Civilizations class in college. It was too hard, so I needed the extra credit!

Additional Skills
My radio career has really taught me how to speak in a way that is both entertaining and likable, or friendly. My Broadcast Journalism background taught me how to speak professionally and learn correct pronunciations and emphasis in speech.
I am a huge music fan and would feel extremely comfortable doing ANYTHING music related or performance art related.
I am also very comfortable with sounding professional.
