Voice Description

I am a Native Brit who lived in Ireland for 5 years and picked up a natural Irish accent whilst living there, but has since reverted back to a Northern English accent.

As a result, I can emulate a highly convincing Irish accent, regional to the North-West (Sligo) area, which can be tweaked to suit any regional requirement, along with Dublin and Northern Irish (Ulster) accents.

As a native Brit, my current accent is of Northern origin (would pass for Cheshire/Yorkshire/Staffordshire using natural voice), but have spent many years in the cities of Liverpool and London and as a result, can also emulate these regions with a certain degree of realism.

Along with these traits, I also have a vast knowledge of dialects and local terminology/vocabulary/colloquialisms of all the above voices stemming from my personal experiences, which could be used to add extra realism to a script where nessecary.

I am also able to replicate other foreign voices/accents, such as Scottish, Australian/New Zealand, French, German, Polish, Arabic and American, with a strong interest in developing these accents further. NOTE: I must stress that the believability of some of these additional accents would not be suitable for corporate use and would be more suited towards comedic applications.

My voice is of low timbre, but I have the ability to move around in pitch dependant on prospective employers' requirements. It has been described as friendly, welcoming and warm, but I can also perform evil, disturbing character voices, both from the throat and stomach at any required pitch.

My Voice Experience

I have provided the voice for a radio presentation package to be submitted to BBC 6 Music radio station, based on the concept of exploring how the internet has changed the way the recording industry discovers new artists, presented in a manner which would be accessible to any passing listener. I also presented a radio show on my university station (LIPA Radio), showcasing experimental music from all over the world.

Although my voice talent experience in minimal, I AM WILLING TO TAKE WORK FOR FREE in order to build up a strong resume, as this is a field I would particularly love to have a career in.

My Training

I have no formal training whatsoever as I spent my life training as an Audio Engineer rather than pursuing an Acting/Drama qualification, but I feel my personal life experiences add a definate realism to the above-listed voices.

I have been working with audio since I was 11 years old and have qualifications and years of experience, UK Based: (1) Certificates of excellence from Night Classes in Sound Engineering I took aged 11. (2) BTEC National Diploma Music Technology from Mid-Cheshire College (3) Currently working towards a BA Hons Sound Technology Degree at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA, owned and regulated by Sir Paul McCartney) specializing in Audio Post Production/Sound Design and Editing.

I feel that I can use these skills to bring down production costs where applicable, as I can perform any editing/mixing/creation of voices or sound effects, be they my own or colleagues, in my professional home studio without the need of hiring additional production staff to perform tasks and operations I can do for you at no extra cost.
