Voice Description
A deep, resonant voice excellent for commercials, narration and promos. My voice is probably at its best intimate and hushed with a sexy delivery, but I have also done commercials geared to generate excitement. English is my primary language and I can speak Spanish reasonably well. I can do English, Texan, "surfer dude" and Italian-American accents.

My Voice Experience
I have done national commercials for Hasbro's game "Simon Squared" and Warsteiner beer. Although my experience is somewhat limited, my voice is the kind that frequently grabs people as soon as they hear it. They said "you should be in voiceover" enough that I finally took it to heart. I was called in for the Hasbro commercial before I ever took a class or recorded at demo. Originally hailing from Texas, I am completely familiar with the dialect and other Southern variations. I also grew up hearing Spanish, which makes my accent better than most gringos. I am a performer around NYC, playing music regularly and periodically hosting a variety show as my alter-ego "Paco Doubledown."
My Training
I gained much of my experience as an actor in high school and college, where I received a commendation for my performance in "Streetcar Named Desire." I took several acting classes at Wesleyan University from 1989 to 1990, where we studied method acting and other stage techniques. Locally, I produce and play the main character in "The Paco Doubledown Variety Hour, featuring veteran entertainer Paco Doubledown, who sings, tap-dances and hosts a calvacade of talent at his Lower East Side revue. The show also features various videos chronicling Paco's life in showbiz.

Additional Skills
In addition to voiceover, I frequently play music around the New York area, both solo and with my band. My experience as a singer/songwriter has helped me cultivate my voice as an instrument and discover its various possibilities. With over 15 years experience playing music, I have developed an intimate understanding of the best range and use of my voice, as well as the self-confidence to perform in front of other people.
