Voice Description

Southern US voice that is heard daily on radio across the US- it is a voice associated with integrity, strength and adventure. Great for family commercials, automobile sales (not wild hype), insurance, mortgage companies, a voice used to convince listener of the truth and goodness of a product!

For documentaries I am able to use foreign names with ease- I work in 19 countries.

Can be an old man character. Have done 3 audio books, over 300 features, speak in 200 US cities annually, a different country each month- and have done 45 documentary films, national TV, etc.

My Voice Experience

The voice/lead talent for e-explorer(website), the voice for the "Lessons From the Forests" audio book series, twice daily feature the K-LOVE network of 400 stations (FM radio, faith based), the voice on www.row.org videos about work in 19 countries on very remote jungle rivers.
Have recorded in over 50 countries- from Congo to Qatar to Iraq. Broadcast radio live from 17 countries.

My selling points are that my voice is well known in the upper income demographic of college educated, active families and middle aged Americans who like to associate a name and/or a voice with a product.

My voice is used to sell involvement with churches, civic organizations, and schools in overseas efforts that impact lives in developing countries. Likewise, my voice is used with men's groups and on shows like "Hannity and Cooms" to present a "macho"/"explorer" image for products like Microtech and Cold Steel Knives.

My Training

I have two doctoral degrees- one as Presbyterian minister, and one as a diplomat serving abroad. I perform on radio twice a day with 5 million listener and speak in church/civic club/ university settings 3 times a week or more. I consider my self a working pro who very much wants to expand my voice over opportunities and capitalize on the recognition/name brand of my voice.

I have full studio/production capabilities, ftp, satellite, ISDN etc to send voice tracks or completed projects to any location. Am also actively engaged in reporting world situations from 12- 15 countries annually.

My Studio Equipment

While I use Garageband, Apple and Rode Podcasters for my voice over, my studio and production partners have all the bells and whistles to create the final product.

It is their full time job to create the finished product- so quite honestly I can't tell you brand names of gear etc-
