My Voice Experience

I've been doing imitations and impersonations for casual enjoyment all my life, and my childhood dream was to be a radio DJ until I heard about the pay...
My brother got that radio job and he taught me some very useful things about using my voice professionally. For may years I've been complimented on my voice and told that I should do voice work, and now I've decided to step up and do it. I've always been comfortable with reading aloud for others to listen. I have done non-recorded readings and I think that skill will transfer well. I've been interviewed on radio more than once. In addition, I've always had a bit of flair for theatrics. It is my objective to become established as a voice talent.

My Training

I have no formal training, but I have been coached by my brother who was a radio voice for many years. I have also attended an informal seminar taught by veteran talent Scott Causey about the voice work business and what potential talents need to do to establish themselves.
I have some experience in technical theatre as well as in instrumental musical performance and recording.

Additional Skills

I have several years of technical theatre experience, and incidental familiarity with broadcast radio and television studios and production facilities (no actual professional experience). I have experience in non-related fields dealing with the public from retail assistance to outside sales. I have experience in diverse technical fields as well so I am comfortable with technical language.

I am just starting out in voice work but I am enthusiastic and eager.
