Voice Description

My voice is distinctively resonating, and is frequently interpreted as strong, comforting and warm. I can bring a playfulness that appeals to female audiences, in a disarming way. I can do competent british and southern USA accents on demand. My standard speech is Northwestern USA, and mostly devoid of accent, tho somewhat influenced by Western Canada. I can perform a disturbing, gravelley and very deep 'demonic' voice that is well suited to a cartoon villain.

My Voice Experience

I was a Master of Ceremonies for a local Arts festival for three years running, announcing acts and providing filler banter with audience members. I have 4 years stage acting experience, acting in medium to small roles. I've acted in school, church and community theatre projects, both for pay and voluntary. I've done a limited amount of work for various radio stations on the east coast and locally, and had the role of "Abraham" in a radio play titled "Through The Eye of The Needle", recorded in 1994.

My Training

I did my first voice work at the age of 9, for a radio station in Virginia Beach, VA. I played the role of "Abraham" in the radio play "Through the Eye of the Needle" at the age of 14. My father and brother worked in Radio for many years, and I learned much from them. I also took 3 years of Drama and advanced Drama classes in high school and college. I took 2 years of choir, Jazz choir and symphonic choir as well.
