My Training
I possess a Bachelor of Music in Performance and hold a Masters Degree in Education (Music). While I have not had any "official" training in the voice-over industry, I have been asked to be a narrator by composer Charles Griffin for a piece written for Narrator and Chamber Orchestra. I have had experience as a singer in a gospel group in the 1980's and have performed in a musical titled "Upside Down" in 1986 at the Boston Opera House. In college I performed in Donizetti's "La Fille du Regiment". I have studied voice for a short time under the direction of Dr. Robert C. White and also vocal pedagogy with him. I am currently a band director at Hempstead High School in Hempstead NY. As a clarnetist I have performed in Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall, Steinway Hall, and other venues in New York and Long Island. As band director at Hempstead High School, I have conducted the group at Avery Fisher Hall. I am also the Principal Clarinetist for the Rockaway Five Towns Orchestra and I am co-leader of a jazz group called "After 3:00".
My Studio Equipment
I do not have a studio, however, I use a Roland CD2 for recording CDs which I use to record muscial performances. I will do my own editing by use of software on my PC and Mac. I occasionally use a Yamaha Mixing Console as well as a portable digital voice recorder and in rare cases my DAT recorder. While I do not own a studio, I have access to a state of the art studio in the state of Virginia.
