My Voice Experience

I have been told by a number of people that I have a very mature and sophisticated-sounding voice, particularly for my age. A number of people have actually told me that I should seek a job in the voiceover field. I think there might be something to what they're saying. I could be an undiscovered talent and a great asset to a someone who is looking for just the right voice for their project.

My Training

I am fairly eloquent and well-read. My father was an English teacher, my mother was a French teacher, my sister teaches Russian and English and got a Masters degree in Linguistics, so you could say that my family has quite the proclivity for careers concerning speech and language. I think it's in my blood, and if nothing else, my parents' (and sister's) influence on me is crucial to making me a potential vocal talent. It logically follows that knowledge of and familiarity with language lays the perfect foundation for good speech skills, particularly pronunciation and enunciation skills.
