My Voice Experience

I got into voice acting through my work as a freelance jingle writer and producer. I'll often lay down a faux voiceover in the donut hole of a jingle as a way to "watermark" the demos I send to prospective clients. After several of these clients liked the fake voiceovers so much that they asked me to read the real copy for their actual spots, I decided to seriously look into the field. I received training from the talented and prolific Sonny Dufault at the Media Performance Institute in Boston, and dove in head first. My voiceover clients include Service Master Clean, Xquisite Limo, and James Hardie.

Additional Skills

As a jingle writer, I am sensitive to the unique requirements of ad production. I have good mic technique, and an excellent internal clock. I am also an avid reader, familiar with many scientific and technical terms, and can keep my eyes several words ahead of my mouth.
