My Voice Experience

I began my voice-over career as a child, and was in radio theatre. I developed character voices based on the various characters I played which included people, cars, tools, equipment, trees, flowers, foods of various groups, much in medical. In fact, medical terminology is one of my specialties.

I have done commercial, character, industrial, animation, narrative/documentary, instructional-including telephone instruction and voice-mail.

My recordings were used in radio, tv, film & video, slide shows, animation/cartoons, and educational projects.

My Training

I have BA, BS, & MS degrees. My majors include applied medical anthropology, nursing, and public health & international/cross-cultural health. I studied at Interlochen Performing Arts Center, Tau Beta Performing Arts Center, American Conservatory Theater Company, Playwright Horizons Theatre School, & The Shakespeare Theatre-in Washington, D.C.

I have studied voice-over with Scott Beach. I have taken media productions classes such as radio and film production. I have also taken copywriting, writing for advertising, communications courses, and singing. Also, I have studied voice and speech for several years.

I have easy access to a commercial studio. I do NOT have my own studio equipment

Additional Skills

I am a health arts and media specialist. This means that I provide consultation for health related projects in many ways, such as research, structure, content, pr/marketing, & resources for all areas of media and the arts. This includes radio, t.v., film, video, internet, theatre, dance, fine arts (painting, textiles, sculpture, photography).

I am also an experienced licensed health care provider, with professional experience in various clinical specialties and settings.
