Voice Description
I have been voicing TV/radio commercials and promotional videos using my mature, nurturing voice for several highly accredited hospitals and medical facilites, as well as on-hold messaging for dental, veterinary, optical, insurance and many other professional businesses.
I had fun using my high energy voice for the Air Museum in Battle Creek, MI and some local TV commercials. My slightly edgy / sultry voice is excellent for the luxury hotels, resorts and Aveda spas on-hold messaging.
My conversational voice puts listeners at ease and my narration and documentary style voice has served me well for the in house "E-Blast" with Novo Nordisk / Pfizer and other tutorials for similar clients.

My Training
I earned a degree in Interpersonal and Public Communicaitons, minoring in Journalism and Psychology at Central Michigan University; thinking I would join a PR firm near Detroit and live the glamorous life. Ah, youth. I sold arthroscopic surgical eqiupment for a guru of orthopedic surgery and learned all kinds of medical termonology; which comes in handy with all the medical VO work I'm currently doing - you never know at the time, do you? Then I entered the world of advertising and learned it all the old fashioned way, does anyone remember how to wax a keyline board? I started out as a PA and eventually becoming a "jr." account executive. Ironically, I used to hire voice and on screen acting talent. Next, I moved to another city where I joined a film and video post production facility. I did the PR writing and reception/phone duties. It was there that I realized my passion for voice acting. I took a voice-over training course through The Great Voice Co., Inc. / Susan Berkley. I sang in choirs all through school, played musical instruments all through school, and I even twirled a baton as a majorette; yep, short skirt and big 'ol pom poms on my white boots, with big hair to match.
My Studio Equipment
I record my work at my glamourous in home studio on my Studio Projects preamped microphone; large diaphragm vacuum tube condenser mic. My recording system equipment is PreSonus Firebox and my software is Sound Forge "Audio Studio". I send MP3 files via FTP sites and e-mail. I have access to ISDN.
Additional Skills
My background in advertising, post production, hiring voice talent, Production assistant, receptionist, phone voice skills, people skills, medical work, reading to the kids in the classrooms, fantastic life adventures/experiences, etc. It's all there to assist in bringing whatever you need to life.
