My Voice Experience

My Voice Over Experience by Becky Howard

In college, our Directing Professor took a couple of us to audition for some voice work. It was great fun and I landed a radio spot for Aetna Life and Casualty. That was back in the days before the wonderful world of the affordable home studio and the internet. I went to the location, recorded for a few minutes, went home and collected my money later! A silly little thing called love derailed my aspirations and shortly after that I married and began a couple of decade's worth of wandering around as a Navy wife; the potentially professional performer side of me went neglected.
Over the years, I did some voice prompts for a couple of companies that I worked for like The Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals and The Chillicothe Animal Clinic.

I studied at the University of Connecticut School of Fine arts from 1981-1984 as an acting major.
