Voice Description

Each project requires a little different voice, depending upon what the writer and client are looking for as well as who is the target audience for the piece.

I have to ability to be sultry and sexy, classy and authoritative, crazy and "off the chain" and so much more.

I love doing character voices (and have embarrased my son on numerous occasions with my Barney voice).

British and Australian accents are also available.

My Voice Experience

The applications for my voice talents have varied over the years. Listeners to the radio in the Charlotte NC radio market heard me for years before I started voicing corporate presentations, on-hold messaging, e-learning projects, IVR projects and video narration.

My Training

I was a communications major at University and studied radio and TV production specifically at technical school.

Years of "on-air" time reading cold copy and making it sound like it was coming from the heart was some of the best training I ever had.

I continue to hone my skills by learning from my voiceover peers and attending classes and workshops.

My Studio Equipment

I am using a Dell Optiplex computer with the Windows XP operating system. I use either Adobe Soundbooth software for single track recording and Adobe Audition if multiple tracks are needed. Currently I am using a Samson C01U USB-based microphone with good success.
