Voice Description
My recorded voice is best described as a classic announcing voice. It is most suitable for eliciting a sense of warmth, trust and stability. My Voice Experience
My recording experience began in high school with an internship at KHEP radio. That developed into an on-air shift for a little over two years. After college I did work for several companies, as a marketing executive, both writing/recording radio and voice-over television spots. I produced and announced for a radio show called "Radio Hope". Radio Hope was a religous program aimed at youth and was broadcast weekly on KRDS. Additionally, I have lost count of all of the out-going and on-hold phone recordings I have done.
My Training
My work at KHEP is where I cut my teeth. The program director and on air talent took me under their wing and taught me a great deal. But it was my work as a marketing professional that really honed my skills. It helps having a natural sound, but the demands of "market-ready" advertising have a way of making your skills razor sharp. Diction, cadence, energy and tempo have to be wielded with a certain amount of artistry. Most importantly, it has to be on deadline.

Additional Skills
One of the things I have found helpful is the education I received while studying to become a pastor/counselor. This has helped me understand the psychology of the intended audience and adjust my tone accordingly.
