My Voice Experience

I began working for management training companies who wanted my voice talent for some training CDs that they used in seminars. These included good telephone sales techniques and bad telephone sales techniques. For this work I was more of a voice actor than vioce over artist and really took to the freedom that this work gave me, to express the words on the page.
I have also worked on many live BBC Radio programmes, working without a script to create a conversational style.
I have also used my voiceover talents in radio adverts.

My Training

My training includes:
BTEC National Certificate in Media (Sound)
BA (Hons) Degree in Broadcasting
A short intense course in Voice over work and how to work from scripts with Voice Master, Steve Hudson, in the PSR method.

My Studio Equipment

I have a home studio set up using Rhode or Shure microphones using Pro tools for recording and editing.

Additional Skills

I have used my voice in many different situations. From acting in radio dramas at college, through Hospital Radio, College Radio and Local BBC Radio.
I have also worked in youth centres, training young people in the use of recording equipment and studio techniques. Along side this I began working as a lecturer, first in radio preentation skills and later in Music Technology and recording skills.
I am currently exploring the possibilities presentend by podcasting, and writing my own shows.
I have also done some work as a supporting actor in the film world.
