Voice Description

I am a native speaker of English but have been learning Chinese for over 6 years. My English voice is deep and sensual as described by most of the ladies I know as well as directors and radio personalities I've worked with at school. I do have the abiltiy to kill off the bass in my voice and sound much younger. This abiltiy is most noticiable when I speak in Chinese. I'm originally from Atlanta Georgia, and have spent the last 5 years in East Lansing Michigan. The different accents from both regions I have studied pretty well. I am a Linguistics major which is the study of language. With my studies in that field I hope to learn as many languages as I can, but have found another purpose for its teachings. With the help of phonetics and phonology I believe it possible for me to pick up any accent within a certain amount of time. I hope this talent will help me in the future of voice acting.

My Voice Experience

I have had no official voice actor experience. I have been offered a job with a radio station and as a translator in the past. Recently I was given the different roles in two plays because of how my voice inpacted the scripts of the characters I was playing. I've worked with a Telemarketing firm Mitchell Research and Communications where the only interaction I've had with it's client was via a telephone. While in China I participated in a English learning program where my voice had to be dubbed into the video recordings.

My Training

The only thing that I have done that can count as training were the dubbings I did with the English speaking program in China and the performing arts I currently due at Michigan State University.
