Voice Description

I am an artist at heart, always painting or drawing or creating in some way. My voice and my acting are part of my artistic expression. I've been a storyteller since I was a kid, creating characters and stories and recording them for friends and family. I love to pretend and capture the heart of a character. I am currently in acting classes and I'm enjoying it immensely.
I can be upbeat and energetic like any 12-18 year old.
I can be warm, personable, professional, smooth and serious for any type of narration, documentary, PSA, audio-book or industrial presentation.
I can be fun, funny, sexy and definitely sarcastic for any type of commercial, promo or other type of project.

I consider myself a character actress - here are some of my current accents.
Since I live in Minneapolis, I consider myself a master at the "Midwestern"/"Fargo"/"Minnesotan" - "Yeh, You Betcha" accent.
I can also beef it up with any type of "Scandihoovian slant".
I can do the classic East Coast New Yorker and the West Coast Valley Girl, New Ager, Hippie or Rich, Snotty, you-know-what.
Since I'm so close to Canada, I practically speak Canadian, Eh!

My Voice Experience

I have worked in every area of broadcasting since college.
In school I was a Telecommunications major and worked on numerous campus talk shows, news broadcasts and radio shows throughout my time at St. Thomas. I also worked at a local TV station and was always learning and participating in entertainment stories and the editing and narration of those stories.
After college I got in to advertising and worked as an assistant broadcast producer.
I hired talent, worked with the copywriters, booked the studio, and oversaw the recording and editing of radio commercials, promos and PSAs. I also researched and purchased music and sound effects for all our broadcast needs.
On my own, I have shot personal stories and documentaries - both writing and narrating and editing my own work.
I believe I have a very well-rounded education and lots of unique experience in the broadcast business. I am excited to focus on my voice over career.
