Voice Description

My voice work can range serious to sexy to funny. I have clear, professional, yet not dull, voice for imparting technical or detailed information. I am able to bring a sweet human tone to dry verbiage. I am also very comfortable with very sexy, breathy halting voice work and believe I excel at it. I am also able to do comedy voices ranging from slightly lisped or accented to incredibly goofy. I am comfortable using the language of teenagers and can easily provide voice for a mid-teenage girl on up. I have a rather All-American accent in that I've spent half of my life in the midwest and half in Arizona. In this I have no discernable accent but people from all over the country think that I sound like I have a slightly exotic version of their regional accent.

My Voice Experience

It all started with programming voice response telephone systems, telephoney based vru programs, voicemail systems & on hold messages - while programming I'd record all verbiage in my voice for testing purposes, assuming that a voice talent would be used to re-record my segments... until customer after customer I worked with asked that they use my voice as they enjoyed my professional yet casual tone. While voice recording is not my primary occupation, I jump at any chance to do it as I always have such fun.

My Training

I have over 10 years experience in both recording telephoney ivr voice segments as well as 13 years in the dramatic arts including improv stage acting. In my career as a business professional I have taken several public speaking and communications courses.
