My Voice Experience
WHAT IF YOU COULD BOOK THE VOICE FEATURED ON HGTB FOR YOUR CLIENTS? Yes, last summer and this I've been the featured voice on a Wave Petunia commercial. I also have a radio spot for A.B. May Service Company running in the Kansas City area during ballgames. In my local area I've performed dozens of radio spots advertising everything from restaurants to flower shops to car places. You've heard of Branson, Missouri? I've performed dozens of ads for various Branson shows including David Lamiscola, the Platters, and Moe Bandy. To underscore the diversity of my talent, I also perform a one-woman show entitled, "Distant Camelot," in which I impersonate Jacqueline Kennedy Onasis. I've performed in St. Louis, Kansas City, and many, many smaller towns. Last November I read two "Little House" books on our NPR station. I was booked to narrate a piece for the Ft. Scott Economic Development Board. And now I'm ready to be your voice.
My Training
I attended a seminar at First Class in Washington, D.C. with Dan Levine teaching voice overs. I took one-on-one lessons with John Burr, a singer and voice talent, also in Washington, D.C. And in Kansas City, I took lessons from Curt Hawkins, himself a nationally-known voice-over talent.
My Studio Equipment
I own a Samson Go Mic and an Apple computer to record auditons and e-mail auditons. My local radio station records finished tracks for me that I can e-mail as an MP3 file.
Additional Skills
I volunteer at our local library during Story Hour and read to children. I use lots of voice and, obviously, lots of expression and I'm always able to hold their attention.
My husband and I owned a junior clothing and footwear store and I wrote and recorded all of our radio commericals.
I voice public service announcements for our local Chamber of Commerce.
