Voice Description

I play off of my own emotions to create different aspects in my speech to convey the kind of character I am creating.

For example, when I am voicing an angry character, I speak with a deeper more commanding voice. When speaking in a professional manner I have a very smooth schooled voice, where as if I am trying to connect with female youth I like to speak quickly in an excited staccato manner. Male youth I draw my speech out with more of a drawl. From warm and deep to sexy and fun, I can do it all.

My Voice Experience

My experience has all been stage work. I love expressing myself and putting life into characters, and there is no better way to do that then on stage.

The first play I was in was in the 3rd grade and I've been in love with the stage since. I have been looking for a new medium in which to express myself and show my vocal ability, since I love to bring characters to life voice overs seemed the perfect way to go.

My Training

As previously stated I started participating in plays in elementary school. I continued participated in plays and took drama classes in junior high, which is when my ability to bring charcters to life really started coming out. Fortunately for me my drama teacher was also my english teacher and loved how I could make the different characters in my papers come to life by changing my voice to fit them. If she didn't like the voice I'd come up with then she'd push me to make it better. My highschool did not offer drama programs, but as an adult I took drama classes and participated in plays at the Allegro Performing Arts Academy in Kent, WA. I also performed in a play with a theatre group called Variety Plus out of Seattle.
