My Voice Experience

My first voice over job was introduced to me by my college professor - NPR radio was looking for new talent for a project for Black Women in Literature Series, and the first book was Tony Morrison's 'Sula' - I was hired as the narrator for the project. From then on, I was hooked! I have done voice overs for more than a few books on tape, for children and adults. My most unusual and fun projects have been commercials for the bus system here in Florida - everything from condoms to zip lock bags! I have a client, who is also a very good friend who has been living in Japan for the past 6 years, and is a cartoonist, pitching many projects. He sends me his storyboards of projects he will be submitting and I have created voices for characters from super babies to insects (roaches, ants, spiders, various monsters)

Howard University BFA , Studied with Olympia Dukaksis- actress, Louis Zorich - actor, Joseph E. Walker- playwright and actor, Wiest-Barron School for Acting in NYC, 30 years as a acting professional in film, television industrials, commercials, theater, directing and voice overs.

My Studio Equipment

I build websites for small businesses and individuals. I also film auditions for actors, construct and design reels for them and their sites, and create all types of voice and visual effects. I work on a combination of Soundforge, Audacity, Dreamweaver, loads of Macromedia products to get the effects I need, and have recorded voiceover projects in the comfort of my own home and sent them to clients via email, download or snail mail.
