Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I am very good with dialects and can learn new ones quickly.
The dialects and accents I am currently quite confident with are American Southern (with a Carolinas-type sound), average American hick/redneck, Standard British, French, Mid-Atlantic, and surfer/Valley girl. I can also do Cockney, New York, Boston, Canadian, Australian, Irish, and Scottish, if I'm given a little time to brush up for consistency.
I have done radio plays in which I played multiple characters and had to switch my voice around, so I've got experience doing character voices; some of the vocal "characters" I've done have been a young boy, 1930's reporter (Hedda Hopper type), young socialite, 1950's housewife, and spoiled starlet.
Hope that helps!
My Voice Experience
The main body of my voiceover experience has been working in "radio plays," in which I have had to change my voice up in order to play different characters and utilize different dialects. I used every one of the dialects listed above and more. Over the course of 2009 and 2010 I worked in eight projects with the Tsunami Radio Theatre and was named Best Comedic Actress of the troupe.
I have also done ADR work recording stings for an internet radio station, and twice recording sound that was to be played as part of a theatrical production: once for the Los Angeles Theatre Academy, and once for the Glendale Theatre Guild.

Additional Skills
I am a big reader and come from an academic family, so my reading skills are extremely high and my comprehension is very good, which means that I sound like I know what I'm talking about when it comes to technical language or obscure references, because I often do, or if I don't, I go find out. This also makes me a good cold reader, so I have the ability to work quickly and not use too many takes.
My voice has always been my strongest tool as a performer. I truly enjoyed working with Tsunami Radio Theatre (which was a group I was lucky enough to work with for 2 years until they disbanded in May 2010) and I am excited to finally have the tools I need to record in my home and branch out to do more projects with new people.
Thanks in advance!
