Voice Description
I am a young adult who from a very early age has always been able to do spot-on accents (Southern, Brooklyn, Chicago, British, Spanish, Latino, Irish, Scotish, Australian, French) and impersonations which give me range and depth. While I am naturally funny and outgoing, I worked on-air for an NPR affiliate for several years which gave rise to the use of my "normal and more serious" voice. This has also added to my range.

My Voice Experience
Before moving to LA in 2004, I was a reporter for 89.3 KCUR-FM, the NPR affiliate in Kansas City. From there I went on to produce a daily talk show which I also hosted on occasion. I was also trained as an on-air announcer. It was here that I also learned how to be an audio editor, which is also crucial for this line of work. Working for KCUR really allowed me to find my "radio voice" which is really not at all NPR-ish--in the way that Saturday Night Live depicts NPR anyway! I added a little more fervor to the often monotone reports and interviews. But my ability to play the straight man, so to speak, got me hired to do the voiceover for a "documentary tribute video" to famed Kansas City ballet choreographer, Todd Bolender. Upon moving to LA I got a gig doing voiceover for a TV commercial for "Wahoo's Fish Tacos" I am in an improv group called "The Mutiny" we recently returned from Las Vegas where we were hired to perform during "The Comedy Festival"
My Training
I took classes at Kalmenson & Kalmenson. I am a veteran improv performer, currently in a group called "The Mutiny," and have trained at Improv Olympic West and am training with The Groundlings. I am an ongoing participant in Marki Costello's host training class at CMEG (Creative Management Entertainment Group) and am looking to train further with Voiceover specialist Leigh Ann Koehnen.

Additional Skills
I think everything of note has been mentioned above, but to reiterate: I have a background on-air in public radio, do a wide range of accents and impersonations, and am a talented improv performer. I also sing, play the guitar and write music.
