Voice Description

My everyday speaking voice is warm and deep. When speaking under low light to an attractive lady I smooth and comforting. Energetic and articulate would describe my voice when teaching or speaking with children. I am from a west indian family and can speak with a true yet understandable west indian accent. I am very familiar, though not quite fluent in spanish.

My Voice Experience

Universal Records-Intrigue "Acoustic Soul". A group which consisted of my brother, best friend and myself. I sang all the bass harmonies and various midrange harmonies throughout the album. The song entitled "with time" you will give you a taste for my speaking voice.
I recently did voice overs for the Transformers movie as the voice of Bumblebee but production opted to go with classic r+b songs for the scene. [Deetown production studios. Contact: Ali "Dee" Theodore]
I also gave many lectures and presentations during my five years as a public school teacher.

My Training

My training in voice has been more about projecting, emphasis, enunciation and diction as well as breath control.
I had two successful semesters of voice and diction during my time at Wagner College. I also took a course with Dr. peter Sharpe called sports journalism where we would create articles then present them in some sort of media. Since then I have been privately trained by Kenny Hicks as well as Dr. Charles Mandraccia.

Additional Skills

The greatest skill I have is adaptability. I can jump my "dim the lights, lay you down" voice up to a hyper eight year old. Whatever your project is, (on hold messages, voiceovers, radio voices, etc...) give me a script, a mic and a moment; let's get it done.
