My Voice Experience

I am a Performance Poet for over 30 years with the "The Watts Prophets" My voice is samples by various young artists and musicians today. I still teach writing, voice control and stage present to young people.
I am the director and founder of "The Hip-Hop Poetry Choir" a group of young people that write and perform their work nation wide.
I have worked with LaVar Burton on Reading Rainbow program and produce the series title "The Great Towers of Watts" a special on the beauty of community.
I have recorded 3 CD's and books of poetry.
The CDC made a Public Health video on colon cancer for PBS using my image and poetry, it was a one year project that was used for over three years.

My Training

I was a member of the Watts Writers Workshops where studies included writing, performance Art, drama and theater . My voice training can from over 35 years of practice attending voice classes with the master Rosoce Lee Brown and the tone a gift that I was born with. My voice is samples by various young artists and musicians today.
