My Voice Experience

I began when a local radio station was looking for a weather girl to read the weather for 3 forecasts per day, a morning, midday and afternoon. I thought it sounded like fun so I auditioned and I got it. I had not thought about a career in radio or voice over until that experience. Once I heard myself on the radio, I knew I had to stay in this industry. I would love the opportunity to work for anyone who is looking for voice over talent.

My Training

My background is in aviation, to which I somehow converted into a career in HR, then suddenly fell into radio and voice over.

Additional Skills

By working in aviation, I have a very technical background so I learn new software and equipment very quickly. While working in HR, you often are required to put yourself into uncomforatable situations with the employees and you need to sound and appear commanding and in control. To accomplish that, you need to control the tone and volume of your voice.
I am a new transplant to SW Florida and I moved here to be closer to my family. This was a wonderful move for me. I feel very blessed with all the opportunities that have been placed in my life and I look forward to the prospect of being trusted with further opportunities.
