My Voice Experience
I have 15 years of experience working in IVR systems for Medco Prescriptions in New Jersey, American Electric Power all over the Midwest and Arriba Cellular Service in Liberia, Africa. I'm experienced with dense, technical language and medical terms and can learn scripts quickly.
I have done narration for Web broadcasts and video. I have extensive experience with corporate presentations.
I have worked with Great Voice in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey for fifteen years. I work with Rocky Mountain Recorders in Denver, Colorado currently.
My Training
My BFA degree in Theater from East Carolina University first introduced me to voice-over. While in school, I worked as a disc jockey at the student radio station and learned commercial production in the studio. This also gave me experience being "live" on the mike.
While living in New York City, I trained with Edge Studio and learned all the different aspects of voice-over including narration, audiobooks, commercials, IVR and webcasts. I also produced my first demo with them.
After moving to Denver, Colorado in 2004, I set up my own company, Dulcet Tones, LLC and have several local, national and international clients.
My Studio Equipment
Although I do not have a studio of my own, I work with two studios in Denver that are equipped with state-of-the art ISDN and patch systems.
Additional Skills
Before joining the voice-over world, I worked as an actress for 20 years and use those skills in my work. I'm a quick study when it comes to scripts and I can bring life and character to any part.
I've also sung in jazz clubs for the last 15 years and vocal training gives my voice a smooth, sensual quality.
