My Voice Experience

I was the "Director of First Iimpressions" as a receptionist for engineers, architects, and general contractors over the course of 14 years. I have recorderd voice mail greetings and on hold messages. I have been asked to record messages for emergency announcements for alarm systems of various types. After years of hearing people tell me I have a wonderful telephone voice and manner and that I should seek work as a voice over talent, I am in a place in my life where I am able to explore what being a voice over personality may have to offer me.

My Training

I did a demo one day for the fun of it. I had an audition, and now I am doing in-store spots for a grocery store chain in my area and another in the Midwest. I really like doing voice overs! It is so easy and lots of fun.

Additional Skills

I read children's book aloud on a daily basis and have done so for the last four years. Reading aloud has given me many opportunites to expand my range in order to keep my children's attention on the books. Also, I am currently trying to teach myself to speak Spanish, so I am frequently listening to and speaking with my Spanish CD's in my car.
