My range extends from the soothing tones of a sultry minx, to a giddishly girlish cheerleader-sphere (with all the witty, gritty deadpan, and prim newscast styles in between).

Though not native to the UK, I am also adept at an inviting but prim British accent.

My Voice Experience

My first drama instructor opened my eyes (ears?) to the many nuances a voice can add to a performance. It was experience that came in handy during my years as a phone actress. In that industry, having repeat customers is key earning a worthwhile paycheck -- creating many convincing characters was then an important step to ensuring a customer would call back for one of mine.

Whether a nearly squeaky, bubblesome late teen, or stern British nanny, the voices had to be both natural sounding, and unwavering for up to two hours at a time.

Clear diction, a serious approach but good sense of humor and an ability to tweak my voice to convey the proper message have landed me a wide spectrum of voice work.

My Training

Before and during grade school, I was afflicted with a speech impediment (I spoke so quickly, everything came out as incomprehensible jibberish). A year in speech therapy taught me to consider my words more carefully, focusing on enunciation and inflection.
During high school, I became interested in both drama and broadcasting. A few classes in public speaking followed. I competed in Forensics tournaments under the catagories of Broadcasting, Prose/Poetry Performance, and Public Speaking.
I've taken a couple of college courses continuing to experience more in the fields of Drama and Public Speaking, as I think a person is often only taken as seriously as their voice sounds.
