Voice Description

I depend on lots of coffee..no, seriously I come from a theater background in high school as well as college. Being involved in scene studies and plays allowed me to not only get an interpretation of a character by his or her description and character development, but also add certain qualities to give them more depth or dimension.
I've always been fascinated with dialects and love to talk with a british, australian, german etc. dialect depending on really no particular cue. It's just fun for me to do!

My Voice Experience

I've worked at a couple of radio networks as well as an independent station and primarily wrote, voiced and produced .30 sec, .60 sec spots as well as tags and liners. Also experienced in straight reads as well as character reads. I've been told by many people I'm funny and I really enjoy producing humorous spots.

My Training

My experience in band from 6th through 12th grade gave me more of an appreciation for music especially different styles. This may have influenced me in choosing or actually playing/performing a certain music bed for a spot. I also took speech classes in college and this helped I believe with the "fear factor" and also the importance of enunciation and being as concise as possible during a read. The more you can say while saying less, the better!
