I have a deep, uniquely resonant male voice suitable for serious narration, executive presentations, training programs and other projects requiring a mature and experienced professional. I am a former Army officer trained to communicate in a clear, concise and confident manner. My voice projects extremely well. It easily cuts through any background noise to grab and hold a listener's attention. My talents are equally well-suited to serious advertising for radio or television. For less serious projects, I can project a more casual style, as well as portray a variety of middle-aged or senior male characters who are loud, angry, annoying, intimidating, critical, self-righteous, scolding, or any number of moods.

My Voice Experience

After years of hearing I had a great speaking voice from both friends and strangers alike, I decided to pursue a career as a voice-over professional. I am a former Army officer who spent 30 years in the service. I always had a strong voice (I grew up in a family of five sons), but in the Army I learned to use it to command attention and inspire confidence under even the most stressful conditions. I have lived and worked around the world, and I speak two foreign languages fluently. I know how to use my voice to convey a specific message. I recently completed the Master Voice-Over Training Program provided by "Such-a-Voice" under the tutelage of a number of industry professionals. I work efficiently and professionally in a studio. I'm a quick read, and perhaps most importantly, I understand the practical side of delivering a quality voice-over product on time and on budget.

My Training

I graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. I also hold a Master's degree in French Language and Commercial Affairs from the Middlebury College School of Paris, France. I spent most of my adult life as an officer in the United States Army, completing my service in the rank of Colonel. Most recently, I worked in Africa for a major Australian shipping company. All my jobs required me to master the art of verbal and written communications. I am a trained public speaker who has completed a number of courses in speech and communications, and I recently completed the Master Class Training Program offered by the "Such-a-Voice" training and demo company. My training included the recording and production of both a narrative and commercial demo at the Hi-Top Productions studio of Stamford, CT.

Additional Skills

As mentioned above, I am a former Army officer who has lived and worked around the world. Since leaving the Army, I have worked as a Financial Advisor with a major international investment bank, and I have directed on-the-ground field operations in hardship locations for an Australian shipping and freight company. My varied life experiences give me a unique insight into how people think and act under a given set of circumstances. I work quickly and efficiently, I willingly take direction from those who know more than me on a given subject, and I enjoy working as a member of a team. I appreciate good conversation, and I possess an abiding interest in politics, international relations, history and geography. I'm an avid golfer, a baseball fanatic and a student of classic movies.
