I have been singing for 23 years as of February 5th, 2014. I started my voice acting and acting training during my first years in high school. Afterward I went to college for acting. After joining a fandom linked to an animated T.V. show, I became the VIP relations coordinator for a convention for the show. I have been in contact with talent agents since, gathering information from them and also getting training from their clients; voice actors with experience. In the wake of their coaching I have performed panels with my VA skills, recorded a demo, and acquired 4 roles in the first project for which I auditioned (RedDogGames' Conspirocracy, an indie game). I look forward to filling more roles!
I have 23 years singing experience. 12 years of choir from 1st-12th grade, 6 years of college choir, both symphonic and chamber choirs, men's ensemble, and many private vocal lessons. Singing is in what I have the majority of my training.
I have 4 years musical and nonmusical theatre experience. I took a variety of college level acting classes. I can cry on cue (It sounds dumb I list that specifically, but it's important). Continuing with the "it sounds dumb I list it" paradigm, I have also played Dungeons and Dragons for 14 years. This has given me a lot of experience acting as multiple people weekly and directing a group of actors.
My vocal training started 14 years ago, my freshman year (2000), of high school. I received vocal coaching from my choir director and drama club director. After graduating, I found more vocal training in private lessons for a year. In 2011, I began getting my connections in the field and in 2013 and 2014 I have received multiple lessons from Vancouver based vocal coaches.
I have an Audio Technica 2010 microphone which will most likely see upgrade soon. I have Sennheiser HD 280 pro headphones. I have a padded room which is acoustically dampened, though I will be setting up an insulation foam studio block for my microphone + pop filter. I have Adobe Audition which I used to record and edit. My sound base is at -35, which I know studio quality should be -48 through -50 but I'm working on it.
I have 6 years retail experience. I am very good at communicating which and working with others. I am quite skilled at interpersonal communication which would make me great for commercials. I am relatable and easy to approach and to get along with. I am also very versed at writing and improvisational comedy. I'm very willing to work with, suggest, and add and subtract from a project but ONLY by request. I will never make suggestions unless I am asked to do so.
