I was born in Cambridgeshire and my voice ranges from R.P. to broad Norfolk. Some of the melodic and friendly qualities found in the Norfolk accent can be used for reading children's stories and advertisements. My R.P. has a sincerity and strength which lends itself to radio drama. My voice is deep and controlled; it's confident and considered tone is also well suited to documentaries.

My Training

I trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts gaining a BA Hons Course in Performance. One of the key components of my training was radio acting. I am highly skilled in the art of vocal control and microphone technique. I trained extensively in a wide range of genres including:

poetry.

Additional Skills

I have a background in education. For several years I have worked at a school where children have severe emotional & behavioural difficulties. I have also worked with disabled children and in mainstream primary education. In this work I routinely adapt my voice to a specific situation. Examples include creative story telling, assertive behaviour management or the calming of distressed children.
I am also a personal trainer. In this work I use my voice to encourage, persuade & motivate my clients.
I live in central London and only need 30 mins to get to most of the London based studios
