My Voice Experience

Specific to voice overs, I have 6 months of individual training from John Burr Voice Dynamics. The training focused on speaking in an unaffected way, finding the important parts of a script, and identifying and speaking to the intended listener.

Additional related experience comes from 20+ years of professional choir and opera performances. Performing in multiple languages and styles has provided an excellent foundation of vocal fundamentals including rhythm, delivery, and annunciation.

My Training

I have a BSEd in Music Education from the Univ. of Missouri and taught K-6 public school music for several years. I have received training from John Burr of John Burr Dynamics. I am also currently a vocal performer and have worked with the Des Moines Choral Society, the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, and Opera Tampa. I am also currently a church musician serving as an adult choir director as well as a youth and adult bell choir director.
